Andromeda Galaxy
(M31)
This image was captured on January 19, 2026 at The John Glenn Astronomy Park under bortle 4 skies. The Andromeda galaxy is located approximately 2.5 million light years away from Earth. The Andromeda galaxy is the closest massive spiral galaxy to The Milky Way, and is our biggest neighbor. The Andromeda galaxy is blue-shifted, and Astronomers predict we will collide with Andromeda within the next 10 billion years.
